Jul 10 , 2:30 PM - 7:00 PM
It's time to beat back the brush on the vista loop! It will be a pretty mellow day with some power tools, pruners and rakes to clear out the brushiest spots on the vista loop. We will be working counter clockwise from where the trail splits after the road crossing. This is a Come & Go Workparty. Meet on the trail any time after the start time and stay for however long works for you. We'll have tools and someone experienced on the trail during the event times so all you need is some work gloves and layers to stay comfortable for the days weather! Bikes recommended!
Jul 12 , 9:00 AM - 2:00 PM
We'll spend most of the day clearing drains and regrading small sections of trail to improve drainage on the hiker/biker trail Erratic(also called Rogue Knight) to help keep it nice and dry for when the rain returns in fall! This is a great intro to basic trail maintenance using hand tools and is on the less strenuous side of things.
We'll meet at 9:00AM at the barn located near the general use parking lot at the park's north entrance. Tools are provided, but be sure to bring some work gloves and enough food and water for the day as we'll be out on the trails for the day.Registration is required through Snohomish County's Volunteer Portal.
